A reminder that everyone going to Messiah at RAH on 30th November needs a copy of the score for Handel's Messiah, edited by Prout and published by Novello, also a copy of the rehearsal tracks. See Fran or Theresa (altos) on Monday if you need help. We will shortly be arranging for practice sessions in each others homes. If you are happy for a small group to practice in your home, please let us know. Look out for more information about coach travel to RAH on 30th November and the workshop led by Guy on 8th November.

If you are bringing friends along to join the choir, please send them across to me to fill out a membership form and collect their temporary music for the evening.
Music update from Sam Mossop
If you missed our first session, or did not get around to sorting your music out, here is the plan:
Please bring all your old music including any you may have missed from previous terms as we are missing a lot of copies, and this costs the choir a lot of money! As always, please erase any pencilled in notes you have made on your music.
Then, just pick up your new music, and you are good to go!
Addams Family The Musical
We are proposing a social evening to see Addams Family The Musical at Licence Victualler’s School in Ascot on Saturday, 1st November. Guy is the musical director, and based on last year’s production of Dr. Doolittle, it promises to be a fantastic performance. We have been offered reduced price tickets: £11 (regular £16), with allocated seats and a programme included.
You can find a form to book tickets onto the NES website which can be reached here:http://www.neweghamsingers.org/social-activities-information.html
Attention all Tenors:
Progeny is very keen to take on more tenors to balance out their excellent sound. If any of you tenors out there are interested in a slightly more challenging, but rewarding experience, please consider giving Progeny a go. And if you ladies have any spare tenors lying around at home, please bring them along.
We are thinking of offering a performance workshop for singers interested in performing solos or simply those who wish to improve their confidence and singing ability. Please take the time to click the following link and fill out the survey, even if you would not be interested, so that we can gauge response levels. Thanks! https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7BSS2P7
NES has a new website: same address but new content and style. Visit www.neweghamsingers.org
Also note that the Members’ area has more useful items. You can visit the request list and request new song (see below), view the choir’s calendar, and listen to recordings of each rehearsal if you miss a week.
Request List: The latest from Guy
The new updated request list is attached. I'm aware that it's not easy to request pieces during the break at rehearsal so if you want to request a piece outside of choir rehearsal please visit the Members' area on our website and fill in the form. You can suggest a new piece or vote for something already on the list.
All rehearsal tracks for the Michaelmas term are now on the website in the Members’ Area. Sam Mossop will be producing CDs for those who would prefer them.
As part of the new website, NES now has a blog. You can view it on our website under the ‘More’ button along the top, or visit http://www.neweghamsingers.org/blog
Guy will be posting interesting articles about choirs and singing, but most importantly, he will post each week what we are working on in rehearsal.
NES is always on the lookout for new charities to support. We prefer our charities to be local to our community. This includes the community that you as a member live in – not just Egham and Staines. And they must be non-denominational and non-political. If you have a charity that you would like put forward for consideration, please contact our chairman, David Evans, either at rehearsal or at firstname.lastname@example.org
